St Johns Preschool Applications
St. John’s Preschool is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 school year. St. John's Preschool is located at 1009 Jackson Street.
Classes offered are: Pre-K (Monday-Friday 12:30-3:00), M/W/F - 4 yr. olds (AM 8:45-11:15), M/W/F – 4 yr. olds (PM 12:30-3:00), T/TH 3 yr. olds (AM 8:45-11:15).

ST. JOHN'S FREEDOM AWARD RECIPIENT
The names of the 2011 Department of Defense Freedom Award recipients have been announced and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Yankton, South Dakota is one of 15 recipients of this year’s award! The Freedom Award is the DoD’s highest recognition given to employers for exceptional support of their employees serving in the Guard and Reserve. St. John’s Lutheran Church stood out among a field of 4,049 nominations submitted by Guard and Reserve service members or their families.
This is a great honor for St. John’s Lutheran Church. The 2011 honorees were recognized in Washington, D.C. at the 16th annual Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award Ceremony on September 22, 2011. Since 1996, only 145 employers have been presented with the Freedom Award. Recipients met privately with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta prior to the ceremony.
